Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

New game not on PSN?[]

Does anyone else think it an exceptionally strange thing that they are not releasing these new games for the PlayStation 3?! What could their motivation be behind that? At such a stage in the gaming industry? Surely both platforms would benefit from a dual-release?--Benxander 20:57, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

AbeMudokon, the twitter account and current 'spokesperson' for the current projects by JAW & OI stated: "we're not xbl exclusive, we're also PSN too". Considering the guy from JAW (the same one who was interviewed on the podcast that told it was to be a xbl exclusive) is also the one behind AbeMudokon account, although its not safe to say their plans have definitely changed, the statement reiterates that it is likely the new games will be coming to both platforms. Statement issued (circa 8/20/2010)--Benxander 01:04, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Well it could possibly have some relation to the switch to Xbox with the release of Munch's Oddysee. The only Oddworld-related games to be on PSN have been the games that were already on the PlayStation One. So the main reason for there being games rereleased on PSN could be that Sony still has some rights on the first two Oddworld games. As for what happens next, only time will tell. You can check Oddworld Forums if you'd like. There should be a handfull of heated discussions regarding this topic. But it is a somewhat interesting topic though :) --RadicalEdward2 19:46, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm already a member. There have been some heated discussions about the topic, and people were seeming to be leaning more toward the acceptance of it being on both PSN and XBLA, which could just be because of that tweet.. which uhhh I guess is my fault haha
