Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

The Logo for Sam's Labor Eggs, complete with a Slave Aid seal.

Sam's Labor Eggs are a brand of Mudokon slave eggs first seen in Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee.

Background[]

Sam's Labor Eggs are a brand of packaged Mudokon eggs that are sold to various corporations and factories across Mudos. The eggs are distributed by the Vykker's Conglomerate so that business can hatch a Mudokon slave population for their factories. While the eggs are sold by the Vykkers they are layed by Sam, a Mudokon Queen, that is forced to constantly produce the eggs to sustain the Mudokon workforce.

Munch's Oddysee[]

In Oddworld Munch's Oddysee, Labor Eggs are shown to be stockpiled within Vykker Labs 13 so that, during an auction, they can be sold to the highest bidder. Once Abe and Munch infiltrate the Vykker facility , they plan to free Abe's unborn brothers by loading the Mudokon Egg Crates onto Lulu's blimp, throwing them into loading chutes. Luckily, Abe and his fellow 'Muds' successfully load them onto Lulu's ship, and after securing the last can of Gabbiar, they take off in Lulu's blimp and escape from the Vykker facility.

Gameplay[]

Eggs

Sam's Labor Egg crate.

In-game their are a total of 75 egg-crates scattered throughout the game, a bulk of them being found in Egg Storage level. In order to maintain good Quarma the player must safely transport the eggs crates to the loading chutes without dropping them. Upon dropping the eggs, the crate will explode, and possibly damage other eggs in the process, so the player must be really careful in doing so.
