The Old Trellis is a FeeCo Depot owned facility that appears in Oddworld: Soulstorm. It's a water treatment facility used to resupply trains. The facility itself is built upon a giant frame that support the Z-Line, hence its literal title as a 'trellis'.
Description[]
The site upon which the Old Trellis is built is very dry, being part of the great desert that spans the southern part of Eastern Mudos. This area has a little plant-life, thanks to the river that intersects with the Z-Line to mark the Trellis' location. A few bushes, trees and grassy patches survive, but they appear brown and lifeless. It may very well be that the river has shrank over time, leading to whatever flora that used to inhabit the area dying off.
The Old Trellis is a very minor location, not even appearing on most maps, officially produced by the Magog Cartel or otherwise. It is constructed on an area of land where a Z-Line intersects a flowing river. The owners of FeeCo Depot made use of this happenstance to harvest water conveniently using hydro-electric power. However, to keep the waterworks fully maintained, an extensive workforce is required to periodically repair the water wheel and other machinery. This means that the facility has a small permanent staff, but has capacity for many more.

In order to easily move the workforce up and down the Old Trellis, a long ladder was installed that worker can use to scale the framework. This gave the facility the reputation of requiring a lot of climbing, an idea that spread due to the fact that workers were often moved off-site instead of spending their whole lives in one facility like most Mudokons. Thus, the Old Trellis became infamous for its "One Hell of a Climb" or otherwise shortened to "One Helluva Climb".

- Main article: Reunion at the Old Trellis
Abe is able to stop his hijacked train at the Old Trellis, where Alf told him to re-unit with the other RuptureFarms escapees. However, the mineshaft that connects the Mudokon ruins at the Gorge to the Old Trellis was blocked off, so Abe had to go down and secure their escape to his train. Recruiting some of the few Mudokons still working at the Old Trellis, Abe was able to protect his followers from the Sligs acting a security as they climbed up to the train platform. Once all the escapees were boarded onto the train, Toby started to drive the train away, much to the bafflement of Alf.
