Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

Munch's Exoddus was a cancelled sequel to Munch's Oddysee, and the second game outside of the original Oddworld Quintology. The game's story would have revolved around Munch and his long journey to transport the last can of Gabbiar, (a can containing fertilized Gabbit eggs) to the legendary Ma'Spa (the source of the Mongo River), so that the baby Gabbitwogs could be hatched in safety, not having the worry about being caught by nets. While it's unknown how far the game got into production, it was inevitably canceled for seemingly unknown reasons.

While the game was considered supplementary to the original Munch's Oddysee, almost functioning as a sort of bonus game, the game ending up ballooning in scale due to the sheer number of ideas that where left out of the original that the developers wanted to reuse. Such ideas were the inclusion of the Mudokon Queen Sam, an important character that ended up being cut from the final version of Munch's Oddysee.
