Just Add Water (Development) Ltd. (also known as J.A.W or JAW) is a British video game development company founded by Stewart Gilray in 2006. The company has worked on a number of titles as a sub-contractor before releasing their own game title, Gravity Crash, together with Sony in 2008. In 2010 Just Add Water signed a contract with Oddworld Inhabitants to develop and redevelop various properties in the Oddworld franchise. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD was the first title to be released under this new partnership in late 2010. Since then Just Add Water has redeveloped and ported a number of old Oddworld titles before starting work on their main Oddworld title; Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty.
By the end of 2015 Just Add Water announced that they will no longer be working with Oddworld Inhabitants on any full-scale projects.[1] Lorne Lanning would later clarify that the physical distance between Oddworld Inhabitants Inc. (in the United States) and Just Add Water Ltd. (in the United Kingdom) proved to be challenging for dev cycles.[2]
