Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

The IED Stun Mine is one of the many craftable items present in Oddworld: Soulstorm. It is first craftable in The Funicular, but can be found already made in The Ruins and The Blimp.

Overview[]

As the name suggests, it is an improvised explosive device that is made from relatively common materials that lacks the explosive power needed to lethally harm the victim. It visually resembles the Slap Mine, but without the deadly explosion and the de-activation mechanism.

They are useful weapons that can knock out enemies from a distance when there is a presence of a chant suppressor. Materials needed to craft them are also cheap as one requires just single Battery, Wiring Kit, and a Tin Can to create. The battery is usually the hardest component to come by, as it is usually only found in vending machines which sell them a relatively high price. Alternatively, they can be found inside boxes or urns in the Gorge's levels, as they were part of the slap-dash security Molluck placed there to trap Abe.

Can be upgraded into the IED Super Stun Mine using an Amplifier.
