Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Guard Orb

Guard Orbs are floating object that Glukkons have inside their offices in Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. They are placed there should Abe when in an area with a Glukkon where the door leading to it opens by standing on a Foot Switch manage to find a way in, which normally he wouldn't be able to do based on how quickly the Foot Switch will drop when walked off, and they're only meant for sending Possession Orbs through. What the Guard Orbs actually do if ever Abe manages to get into a Glukkon's office is zap him in a similar fashion to Chant suppressor, only it will kill him instantly.

Trivia[]

  • Aside from having to find a way to get Munch over to where the Glukkon is, it's only possible to get killed by the Guard Orb in 2 levels that the Lulu Fund appears in.
    • Meep Herder Village by carrying a Meep all the way through the level and tossing them over the wall that only Abe is able to get over, anyone else will be stopped by an invisible wall.
    • Splinterz Manufacturing by finding a way to get one of the enemies in the room where the Glukkon is up onto the Foot Switch.
