The Fire Extinguisher is one of the many items present in Oddworld: Soulstorm. It is first found as a required item in The Hijack and is obtained via Vending Machines in about half of the following levels.

Fire Extinguishers are items sold at the Fire Extinguisher Vendo, they can be used to put out fires when Water Bottles aren’t available or accessible, Greeters are equipped with fire extinguishers.
They lack the range of a thrown Water Bottle but they could fire continuously in a stream making them more effecient at putting out fires. They have a gauge meter on the canister backpack to denote how much fuel the Extinguisher has.
As a crafting item, a Fire Extinguisher is also a key ingredient for the creation of the powerful Flamethrower. Unusually, crafting the latter won't cause the former to be removed from the inventory.
