FeeCo Depot is an industrial transport hub in Mudos, owned and operated by the Magog Cartel. It is used to transport workers and cargo between several industrial facilities. FeeCo Depot is managed by Vice President Aslik.
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus[]
Layout[]
FeeCo Depot services six major industrial locations in Mudos, and has dedicated terminals for each of them that are connected to a central lobby. During his travels, Abe visits the terminals leading to Necrum Mines, Slig Barracks, Bonewerkz, and ultimately SoulStorm Brewery. The terminal leading to RuptureFarms was decommissioned after the factory's destruction, and the terminal leading to Vykkers Labs was still under construction during Abe's visit. FeeCo Depot also houses the executive office from which Vice President Aslik makes sure the trains run on time.
Security gates[]
In response to the destruction of RuptureFarms and Necrum Mines, security at FeeCo Depot is tightened significantly by the time Abe arrives. The terminal to SoulStorm Brewery is locked down by three electric fences, which have to be disabled by direct order of General Dripik, Vice President Aslik, and Director Phleg. Aslik's office is also locked down by two electric fences, requiring Abe to travel to Slig Barracks and Bonewerkz first, before being able to unlock the gate to the brewery.
Oddworld: Soulstorm[]
Feeco Deepot is smaller in Oddworld: Soulstorm, with only three entrances/exits, leading to Slig Barracks/Necrum, Bonewerkz, and Soulstorm Brewery. Instead of being made of metal, it is instead mostly made of tinted glass, leading to a harsh yellow light permeating the site at all times. FeeCo is split between Terminals and Workzones. In Terminals, trains can load and unload passengers. In Workzones, complex machinery is used to load boxes on and off of the stationed trains. Workzones are heavily guarded to prevent riots and hijacks. CEO Ludwig Von Aslik houses his office in Feeco, although he is mostly un-involved with the running of the facility and delegates that duty to Sligs, taking a decent portion of the day sleeping.
Outside of FeeCo is a colossal shipping yard that far exceeds the surface area taken up by the building itself. Huge shipping containers litter the yards, so big that they can only be moved by slow machinery and a giant crane. These Yards are some of the most securely guarded areas, featuring Sligs, Slogs, and Greeters, as well as sealed prisons and motion detectors. There are still plenty of secluded spots that Mudokons can sneak to, although when Abe found them, these Mudokons are already suffering from Brew sickness.
Appearances[]
Notes[]
- The terminal to Vykkers Labs is a hint to Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, which would be the next Oddworld game in the series, and is further hinted at during the end credits of Abe's Exoddus.
- Because Vykkers Labs is airborne, it's possible that the trains went to a dock, where passengers boarded onto blimps to be ferried to the labs.
- During development of Oddworld: Soulstorm, the train depot was named Comet Depot. The name was visible on concept art and promotional in-game footage. It appears the name was changed back to FeeCo Depot relatively short before release.
